American Legal Nurse Consultant Certification Board ®

The American Legal Nurse Consultant Certificaton Board (ALNCCB) was founded by the American Association of Legal Nurse Consultants (AALNC) in 1997. The ALNCCB administers the Legal Nurse Consultant Certified (LNCC) program. It is a functionally autonomous component of the American Association of Legal Nurse Consultants. ALNCCB is composed of six board members who are legal nurse consultants plus a public representative. ALNCCB members are elected to represent the diverse roles and settings in which legal nurse consultants practice as well as varied demographic characteristics.

ALNCCB works with a testing company, SMT, to offer the LNCC examination. SMT staff members have extensive experience in the development and administration of certification and licensure examinations for nurses.
