We are off to a terrific start and an exciting year!
You don’t want to miss out on our upcoming webinars “So You Want To Be An LNC” (free and back by popular demand) on June 13 and AALNC’s collaborative webinar with IAFN for Forensic Nursing Standards of Care on June 28.
The Board of Directors and I are still feeling inspired by the AALNC Annual Forum 2016 and yet we have already begun to plan amazing speakers and activities for next year's event in Portland. We heard you loud and clear when you asked for more attorney and attorney/LNC speakers and our networking events will continue to surprise you with lasting memories.
Stay in touch with all AALNC has to offer by renewing your membership--you have so much to gain by being a member!
Lastly, I’d like to update you on our Scope & Standards committee progress. AALNC’s committee chair Colleen Sosteri and members Deborah Wipf, Joan Magnusson, Jean Cooper, Cheryl Gatti, Elizabeth Zorn, Lynda Sheehan, Julie Dickinson, Susan Carleo and Board Liaison Debbie Pritts have been working hard to review and revise our Scope & Standards document.
- The committee had their third conference call on June 8, 2016.
- They have reviewed and revised pages 1-5 of the current 2015 S&S draft through the Evolution of Legal Nurse Consulting.
- Meetings are every two weeks with members looking at the document in real time to see and discuss suggested changes as they are being made.
- In the two weeks between meetings the members are given homework to review and suggest revisions on the next sections.
The committee is on track and making great progress to complete our revision.
I feel privileged to represent AALNC as your President and if you have any questions or concerns please feel comfortable reaching out to me.
We are here because of you and do everything we can for our members and the greater LNC community.
