AALNC-Annual-Forum-2016-300x300.pngFor the AALNC members who attended the AALNC Annual Forum in 2015, you heard me speak about my favorite part of the event: NETWORKING! Some of my buzzwords about networking included: building relationships, active listening, fun and opportunity. As AALNC just announced the schedule and speakers for the Annual Forum 2016 in Charlotte, North Carolina, I wanted to give you a sneak peek of some can’t-miss presentations!

First up for all my fellow networkers: AALNC will be hosting a first-ever event, “Networking: Scoring a Strike!” featuring team bowling and networking. Hear me out: There are no skills required to bowl!  The “Networking: Scoring a Strike!” event will allow you an opportunity to build relationships and have fun while networking with LNCs of all levels. Bring your business cards, because you will also have the opportunity to network with the AALNC Board of Directors and other long-time, successful LNCs.

Next, have you considered expert witness work as part of your LNC practice?  Are you a new expert who recently started testifying?  Are you a long time expert witness who would like a refresher? If you answered yes to any of these questions then join us at the AALNC 2016 Pre-Conference workshop “Conquering Your Expert Witness Testimony.” This event will be led by Steve Babitsky, Esquire who leads his own expert witness training program. What makes this event unique is that Steve Babitsky will lead you through his acclaimed program on testifying specifically tailored to Nurse Expert Witnesses. This program will be shortened from two days to eight hours and at a discounted cost for our attendees. I was fortunate to attend his two-day course and can attest that the eight hour session will pack a lot of weight for our expert witnesses.

Stay tuned to the Presidents Blog in the coming weeks as I will be posting comments from other expert LNCs about how the AALNC Annual Forum took their career to the next level.
