AALNC Announces New Editors for Legal Nurse Consulting: Principles & Practices 4th Edition

The American Association ofLegal Nurse Consultants (AALNC) is excited to announce that Mariann F. Cosby, DNP, MPA, RN, PHN, CEN, NE-BC, LNCC, CLCP, CCM, MSCC and Cheryl E. White, RN, BS, MSHL, LNCC, LHRM, MSCC; DFSHRMPS will serve as co-editors for AALNC's Legal Nurse Consulting: Principles & Practices 4th Edition.   
 
Dr. Mariann Cosby has served as a legal nurse consultant since 1991. She currently owns her own consulting business providing expert witness, life care planning, and other medical cost-related review services. In addition, Mariann provides litigation and risk management services in her role as a nursing consultant program review for the State of California Correctional Health Care Services. Dr. Cosby is also a part time graduate nursing instructor at California State University Sacramento. Mariann co- authored the chapter The Legal Nurse Consultant as Expert Witness in the current Principles & Practices 3rd Edition.
 
Cheryl began her career in legal nurse consulting in 1989 and also owns her own consulting practice. She has been a Risk Manager for three large health care organizations, and worked for the Florida Department of Health and Board of Medicine as an inspector for the office surgery program since 2000. Cheryl is also a Medicare and Office surveyor for the American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery Facilities, Inc. (AAAASF). She has worked the last fifteen (15) years as a defense in-house Legal Nurse Consultant. Cheryl served as an associate editor for the current Principles & Practice 3rd Edition and also presented at AALNC's most recent annual Forum.
 
AALNC's Legal Nurse Consulting: Principles & Practices serves as a comprehensive and authoritative resource for all legal nurse consultants. This text also serves as the relied upon reference when developing new educational opportunities. Therefore it's important AALNC revise and update this book in 2016.
