AALNC Annual Forum Frequently Asked Questions

We have compiled some anticipated frequently asked questions to help you navigate our virtual platform. If you have any further questions about the system or event that are not answered below, please email email@example.com.
AALNC has decided to host the virtual AALNC Annual Forum 2021 on the Pathable platform. The use of this platform allows AALNC to continue to offer our attendees interactive education, networking and engagement opportunities with other attendees, speakers, exhibitors and sponsors.
Registration/Log In Information
I didn’t receive my registration confirmation. What do I do?
Your registration confirmation email is only sent once payment is received. If you submitted payment and have not received your confirmation email, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org to resend your confirmation email. Please note it can take up to 15 minutes for this confirmation email to be sent once a transaction has occurred.
How do I get to the Virtual site?
We recommend bookmarking https://aalncannualforum.us2.pathable.com for quick access each day. Please note, this is an internet-based program.
I’m trying to log in but my account is not active.
If you signed up on the day of the event, it may take up to 60 minutes for your account to be activated. You should receive an email with your authentication link to give you access to the site, where you'll be able to set up your profile and password. We strongly recommend setting up your account and profile before the event.
How do I log in to the virtual site?
On April 7, 2021, you will receive an email invitation from the Pathable site, with a link to sign in to the website. You will be prompted to set your password if it is your first time logging in. If you have already set your password, click here to recover your password. If you have any issues, contact email@example.com.
What if I wanted to register after the event starts?
What if I want to cancel and receive a refund?
Due to the nature of the virtual format for AALNC Annual Forum 2021, refunds are not permitted. All purchases are final.
Pathable System Information
What browsers are recommended?
To attend a virtual meeting on the Pathable platform, we strongly recommend using Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge browsers. Due to limitations within Zoom, attendees using Safari, Firefox, or other browsers may have to dial in via telephone in order to hear the meeting audio. Telephone dial-in numbers are provided once you join the broadcast. You can view the system requirements for our virtual conference platform, Pathable, by clicking here.
Why am I seeing the pop-up notification “System Check Failed” after logging in?
Pathable requires you to enable Third Party Cookies in order for the platform to communicate with Zoom. Click this link for instructions on how to enable Third Party Cookies based on your web browser.
What time zone does the event take place?
All sessions will take place in Central Time. However, the sessions in Pathable will always appear in your local time zone. Please plan accordingly.
How do I add sessions to my schedule?
First, make sure you are logged in to the site. Then, navigate to the “Schedule” tab. Each session on the schedule will have a small '+' sign in the top right corner. If you would like to add a session to your schedule, click on the '+' sign. Or, click on the session to view more details. On the top right side of the page, there will be a button that says "Reserve Spot" to add that session to your schedule.
- Please note: You will not need to pre-register for any sessions and there is no limit to how many attendees can view each session. Clicking "Reserve Spot" only adds that session to your personal agenda.
How do I join a session?
Navigate to the “Schedule” tab, then click on the title of the session. Sessions will go live 1 minute before their scheduled start time. You can click on “Join Live Meeting” to start the broadcast. You can also start the broadcast by clicking the link in the lower-left corner in order to open the meeting within the Zoom program. All of the sessions will open in the Pathable session page for viewing, networking sessions will open in a Zoom window.
How do I print my schedule?
Under the "Schedule" dropdown menu, click on "My Agenda". In the menu at the top, select "Print." You can select to print a list of the session you saved with only titles, or you can select to print with their full descriptions.
How do I export My Agenda to my Outlook calendar?
Click on the “Export” button on the agenda page. You can choose to export the full forum agenda or your personal agenda by selecting “Export My Agenda (.ics)”. The .ics file that downloads will create a second calendar in your Outlook.
How do I send a message to someone in the platform?
Visit the “People” tab in Pathable, and click on “Attendees” from the drop-down, scroll through the attendee list or search for a specific name. Click on the three dots next to their name, and then click on “Schedule Meeting.” You will then be able to see their availability and find a date and time that works best for both of you!
Will there be a way to test viewing live sessions ahead of time?
There is not a way to test a live session in advance, but we recommend visiting zoom.us/test to test your internet connection in a test meeting.
When will all session recordings be available?
Session recordings will be available on the AALNC Annual Forum 2021 Pathable page on Monday, May 3 until Friday, July 2, 2021.
Will the AALNC mobile app be used for AALNC Annual Forum 2021?
AALNC Annual Forum 2021 will be available through web browser only. We will not be using the AALNC mobile app for this year’s event.
I keep getting kicked out of the platform/asked to log in repeatedly.
If you experience any technical difficulties, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org. We will address technical difficulties as quickly as possible. If you miss a session because of a technical difficulty, all session recordings will be available on the AALNC Annual Forum 2021 Pathable page on Monday, May 3 for 60 days.
Education Session Information
Is there a hard stop at the session end time if there are additional questions for the speaker?
Yes, there is a hard stop. Session rooms will be closed at the designated end time. However, the chat feature will remain open. You can continue submitting questions after the session has concluded or contact the speaker directly by searching for them under the People tab and clicking “Send Message”.
Will there be a Q&A with the speakers after a session? How do I ask a question?
All presentations will include a 15-minute Q&A at the end of the session. However, it is recommended that you submit your questions through the Pathable chat feature to ensure the presenter has an opportunity to address your question(s) directly.
How do I take notes and download them?
You can take notes directly on the site. There is a button in the upper right-hand corner of each session that says "Notes". Click on that button to type your notes in the platform, and you will also be able to download all notes that you have taken directly on the site, by clicking on “export” on the agenda page, then choose “Download Notes” from the dropdown menu.
Will there be a Chat function, and who is it visible to?
The Chat box on the Pathable page will be visible to all attendees, speakers, exhibitors/sponsors, and staff.
Can I chat with a specific attendee or speaker?
Within the session chat, no. The Chat feature within the session is available to everyone in that session. However, you can message attendees and speakers individually by searching for them within the “People” tab.
What if the speaker wasn’t able to get to my question before the session ended?

If I watch a recording of a session, will I be able to hear the Q&A?
All presentations with live Q&A will be included in the on-demand recording of the broadcasted session.
I am in the session room, but no video is playing and there is no sound. I am having technical difficulties.
If you experience any technical difficulties during a broadcast session, please utilize the session’s Chat feature outlining the issue you are experiencing and a member of our staff will address the issue as quickly as possible. If you are unable to access the Chat box or require further assistance, contact email@example.com. If you miss a session because of a technical difficulty, all session recordings will be uploaded to the AACLNC Annual Forum 2021 Pathable page on Monday, May 3 for 60 days.
How do I claim my continuing education credits?
The AALNC Annual Forum live broadcast is scheduled for April 13 – 16, 2021. During the live broadcast dates, the meeting will be “live” with presentations broadcast concurrently, similar to an in-person event. Attendees must complete an evaluation for each session attended to earn contact hours. Session evaluations will become available at the close of each session and must be submitted no later than April 30, 2021 in order to earn credit for the session. Following the April 30 deadline, attendees will receive a certificate via email that includes the continuing education credits earned for their participation in the April 13-16, 2021 live virtual broadcast.
Starting on May 3, 2021, recordings of the live broadcasted session will be available to access. Annual Forum registrants can view the on-demand recordings through your Pathable profile until July 2, 2021. After viewing the presentation recording, complete the evaluation for the associated session by following the same steps as the live broadcasted sessions. All evaluations for the on-demand sessions will be available starting on July 2 and must be submitted no later than July 16, 2021. Following the July 16 deadline, you will receive a second certificate via email that includes continuing education credits earned for the on-demand sessions only.
Where can I find the session evaluations or more information on Continuing Education (CE)?

How do I set up a meeting with an attendee or speaker?
Under the “Schedule” dropdown menu, click on “Schedule Meeting.” On this page, follow the instructions to schedule a meeting with an attendee, exhibitor or speaker. You may schedule private meetings between 8:00 am – 8:00 pm CST April 13 – 16, 2021. Up to 32 people can be invited to a private meeting. An alert and an email notification will be sent to each person invited. Once the meeting invite is accepted, the meeting will automatically be added to your schedule.
Can I get contact info for an exhibitor?
To see a full list of exhibitors, click on the “Exhibitors” tab in the top navigation bar. If you have any questions about any exhibitors, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you’d like to connect with an exhibitor directly, click on their logo to access their booth. Once on their booth page, click a staff member to set-up a one on one meeting, or click “Leave Your Card” in the top right-hand corner of their booth. You will then be able to leave them a message, and your contact information will be sent directly to the exhibitor.
How do I take myself off of the directory?
If you would like to hide your attendee profile from anyone being able to view it, you will need to update your settings. To update your settings so you do not appear, go to Account --> Edit my profile --> Preferences --> Check “Hide my profile from other attendees” --> Save
Will there be any virtual Networking Experiences where I can meet other attendees?
Yes! There are networking opportunities on Wednesday and Thursday.
Wednesday, April 14 - We are excited to offer a one of a kind virtual networking experience! Simply click the link in the agenda item on Wednesday, April 14 at 3:30 pm CST to enter a networking room to connect with our forum attendees! Use the link and password to enter the networking room. Once entered, you can add a headshot. Wonder is a space where you can connect to others in a more spontaneous and fluid way. You move around freely between groups. It's fun, creative and energizing. Simply hover over another avatar image to create a video group chat with up to 15 people. Watch the short video within the agenda item for a quick tutorial on how to navigate the networking room!
Thursday, April 15 - Join us for a Networking Trivia Event complete with a live and engaging trivia host, you’ll get the full trivia experience…without having to leave your couch! Trivia will run for about an hour and a half, and you’ll be added to a team with other AALNC attendees to work together to test your knowledge with fun and unique trivia questions.
Exhibit Hall Information
How do I attend a virtual exhibit booth?
Navigate to Exhibitors in the top menu, during the designated Exhibit Hall Hours. On this page, you will see all participating exhibitors, listed in alphabetical order. Click on the exhibitor booth you would like to attend. Click "Enter Video Meeting."
I went to a booth but no one was there to talk to.
Dedicated booth hours are listed in the chart below. You should also go to the Schedule page and add the ‘Virtual Exhibit Hall’ to your personal schedule each day. Exhibitor’s virtual Zoom booths and chat rooms will be live during these dates/times. If you’d like to connect with an exhibitor outside of the hours below, simply hit the “Leave Your Card” button in the top right corner of their booth. You will then be able to leave them a message, and your contact information will be sent directly to the exhibitor.
