2027 AALNC Annual Forum Planning Committee

We invite you to join the 2027 AALNC Annual Forum Committee. Planning is underway for the 2027 Forum in San Francisco, CA for April 16 & 17, 2027. We can't make the event happen without our great volunteers.

By joining, we ask that you commit to joining monthly planning meetings and your sub-committee meetings (Education, Sponsorship or Events) as needed. Monthly planning meetings will take place the 1st Tuesday of the month at 2pm EST.

Seeking Editors to Manage the Revision of its Core Publication - Legal Nurse Consulting: Principles and Practice, Fourth Edition

AALNC is looking for qualified individuals to serve as the Editors for the revision of its core publication - Legal Nurse Consulting: Principles and Practice, Fourth Edition.

This publication provides an in-depth analysis of the Legal Nurse Consulting specialty practice and serves as a comprehensive and authoritative resource for Legal Nurse Consultants and nurse expert witnesses. The editors will drive the content development of this textbook, which is considered one of the foundational publications for Legal Nurse Consultants, thereby allowing AALNC to continue to set the pathway for the Legal Nurse Consulting specialty practice.

 

Job Description:

· Develop scope for the project

· Support and work with other editors and authors through the publication process

· Participate on phone calls with other editors and authors (monthly)

· Review work of other editors on an ongoing basis

· Work with AALNC staff and publisher to ensure all copyright agreements are in order

· Collate the complete work and complete final editing

· Ensure content reflects current LNC practice, legal considerations, and professional standards

 

Qualifications:

· Previous editorial and/or publishing experience

· Experience reviewing or contributing to educational materials, practice resources, or professional publications

· Broad knowledge of legal nurse consulting

· Meet agreed-upon deadlines and participate in collaborative review discussions as needed

· Strong writing, editing, interpersonal and technical skills

· Familiarity with AALNC’s mission, standards and professional scope with interest in facilitating a high quality publication

· Desire to promote the mission of AALNC

· LNCC® is preferred

Call for AALNC Jumpstart Co-Faculty

  • Passion to reinforce practicum with real-life experiences
  • Expertise in components of the Jumpstart’s program.
  • Willingness to study and develop expertise in the current Jumpstart on-demand curriculum
  • Ability to engage a live interactive audience with thought provoking questions
  • Work with Faculty partner to provide challenging reflections on various answers to the same question
  • Commitment to instruct 2027 and beyond live sessions (TBD two times a year)
  • Participate in a Jumpstart 2027 SWOT analysis

Shared Interest Group: Co-Chair

We are looking for two AALNC members that would like to Co-Chair the Shared Interest Groups (SIGs), specifcally one for the New/Novice legal nurse consultant group and one for the Report Writing group.

Two Co-Chairs are appointed to each Shared Interest Group discussion board. The co-chair roles play a vital role in fostering meaningful engagement within the SIG platform. They actively encourage participation, spark conversation, and ensure existing posts are thoughtfully moderated. SIG chairs can use one another, AALNC Board members, and AALNC staff as resources during their term.

The main role of the SIG chairs is to foster engagement within the SIG platform, and moderate existing posts.

  • Encourage appropriate and engaging conversations
  • Reply to new posts if there is not any initial action from the rest of the AALNC Community
  • Help to start a conversation once every other week, trading off with your co-chair, if the group is not active
  • Post resources for those new to the AALNC Community or SIGs
  • Remove or report posts which do not align with the SIG guidelines
