AALNC is looking for engaged, forward-thinking members to help shape the future of legal nurse consulting.

We are accepting applications for two open board seats:

Director at Large

Directors at Large help set AALNC’s strategy and represent members’ voices at the national level. This seat is a good fit for experienced legal nurse consultants who want to guide the association’s direction, strengthen its programs, and support members across the country.

Director at Large-Novice

The Novice Director brings the perspective of newer legal nurse consultant (2-3 years as a legal nurse consultant) to the board. If you are early in your career and passionate about growing the profession, this is your chance to have your voice heard and guide AALNC for the next generation of legal nurse consultants while you build leadership experience alongside seasoned board members.

Call for Mentors for 2027 Mentorship Program

Answer the call and serve

The AALNC Mentorship Program is a 12-month mentorship program designed to support the novice legal nurse consultant (LNC) in their career. The Mentorship Program will provide a unique match with a new legal nurse consultant mentee, to accompany and guide them on their 12-month journey. In addition to enrollment in cohort networking opportunities, Mentors will receive:

  • Mentorship Program Guidebook, outlining program expectations, recommended meeting frequency with suggested topics, and additional information
  • Discounted registration for AALNC’s 2027Annual Forum, taking place in San Francisco, CA, April 16 & 17, 2027
  • In-person networking experience with Class of 2026 and fellow mentors during AALNC’s 2026 Annual Forum
  • Complimentary access to identified AALNC tools and resources

AALNC Mentorship Program Class of 2027 will begin in January 2027 and run for the duration of the 2027 calendar year.

 

Qualifications

Applicants must be:

  • AALNC member in good standing
  • Practicing LNC for 10 years or more
  • Interested and invested in fostering personal professional development in others, to help them in pursuing an LNC career
  • Any clinical background or practice area
  • Be able to commit to monthly meetings with Mentee and attend quarterly Mentorship meetings with cohort.

Application Process

Complete application and submit through the link no later than November 1, 2026.

  • Micro-volunteer opportunities for other AALNC projects.
