The certification examination is based on an analysis of legal nurse consulting practice. The practice
analysis and the examination were developed with the assistance of C-NET.
The test consists of 200 multiple choice items and is approximately 4 hours in length. It is designed
to test the nurse's ability to apply legal nurse consulting knowledge. Questions are in the form of
case studies; a reading passage is followed by one or more questions related to the passage.
