Volunteer Interest Form

The formal Call for Volunteers for the 2023-2024 Committee cycle is now closed. Please complete the form below to be considered for volunteer opportunities throughout the year as they arise.

This opportunity is open to AALNC members of all backgrounds and levels of experience. Volunteers must maintain their membership with AALNC in good standing, for the entire term during which they serve on a committee.

Consider giving back to your professional home by getting involved with one of the available committee opportunities listed below.

Content Planning & Education Committee

The goal of the Content Planning & Education Committee is to inform the planning of AALNC educational activities and support the implementation of products and services that meet the needs of membership and align with our strategic plan. The committee is responsible for analyzing needs assessment data to determine topics and content experts for webinars, roundtables, and Briefing articles. Committee members also serve as content reviewers to support the planning and development of select educational products and other strategic initiatives.

Committee members are expected to attend monthly standing meetings and volunteer for one to two projects throughout the year with the anticipated time commitment shared in advance. Volunteers will receive early access to unreleased educational products and have the opportunity to earn contact hours for the projects they support.

This volunteer opportunity is open to current AALNC members of all experience levels and clinical backgrounds. Preference will be given to applicants with prior experience volunteering on an AALNC committee and regular participation in AALNC educational programming.

Forum Committee

The goal of the Forum Planning Committee is to develop the educational program for AALNC’s Annual Forum 2024 in line with our strategic plan. The committee analyzes needs assessment and evaluation data from the prior Forum to determine learner priorities and participates in the speaker and topic selection process. Committee members serve as content reviewers for speaker materials and participate as moderators and monitors at the educational sessions at Forum.

Committee members are expected to attend monthly standing meetings and support various deliverables throughout the year, including the abstract review process, speaker selection retreat, and speaker materials review. Committee members must also commit to attending Annual Forum 2024 and provide onsite support for speakers and educational sessions, as well as other priorities as assigned.

This volunteer opportunity is open to current AALNC members that have attended at least one Annual Forum, with preference given to applicants that attended Annual Forum 2023. Active committee members receive discounted registration to Annual Forum 2024. Registration add-ons and travel expenses are the responsibility of committee members.

Shared Interest Group (SIG) Chair

The goal of the Shared Interest Groups (SIGs) is to provide an open forum for AALNC members to share resources, promote discussion, and ask questions of their peers and fellow members. The SIG Chairs assist in facilitating that discussion and engaging with SIG members.

Chairs are expected to attend occasional meetings with Headquarters Staff to discuss any SIG needs. Current SIGs are: Personal Injury, Report Writing, Expert Witness, and New/Novice LNC.

This volunteer opportunity is open to current AALNC members of all experience levels. Preference for each chair position to be filled by a volunteer with applicable experience and background.
